Ganesha

Before I started my big journey to India, my sister gave me a little Ganesha statue. At this time, the significance of this strange elephant-headed god was still unknown to me. Ganesha has always been a faithful companion to me during my stay, and soon I had come to know the great reverence and respect that the majority of the Indian and spiritual people all over the world, have for this Hindu god. The significance of respect for me derives not from the fear of god. It derives from the absolute respect towards religion, rite and tradition representing the unique culture of India.
